As I was clearing the windows on the landy in my drive this morning I exchanged a few pleasantries with my next door neighbour who had dug a nice wee track to get his A4 estate out of his slopey driveway and then watched him slide gracefully backwards into my merc - snow tyres on the stationary merc failed to stop the summer tyre shod audi...ye cannae win! rolleyes
Visit to the bodyshop when it warms up!
BE CAREFUL OUT THERE KIDS - LOTS OF LOONIES ON CRAP TYRES
(ESPECIALLY 3 AND 5 SERIES REAR DRIVERSeek)
911 on CTEK in garage and its fecking staying there!

No luck Baz. Thought this post was going to be about the Porker, still bad being the Merc though.

Me too. Thank goodness the pork is alright Barry. I was moaning about these 3/5 loonies last night and only just got my blood pressure down. Irritating even if the damage is to a merc and would have given you a suitably hard time if I thought you would find it even slightly amusing. Begs the queation though - you live next door to someone who has an Audi - Why? O

Nightmare Baz, I've been using my wee Punto (the dug's car) with it's skinny tyres and good tread, I've had absolutely no problems driving in the snow and ice......... Except for other drivers whose abilities would be hilarious, if I didn't think they would cause ME to have an accident !

Hope it gets sorted...... see you on the 27th?

Ouch!!! I don't have fancy wheels on my punto and it's got high profile tyres, dread to think what our roads will be like once this clears!

Johny, its a standard Punto Sporting wheel and tyre 185/55 15, nothing fancy... can't afford anything better after spending all my money on restoring my summer car smile

Fan-fecking-tastic......
Managed to chalk up my second crash of the winter today...rear ended in Partick (Beith Street) after performing an emergency stop for the young lad ahead in a Corsa who for some reason slammed on the anchors to let another corsa out of a parking space.
Sadly the very low very black modded Passat behind me did not brake with comparable alacrity so he parked at speed into the back of my (magnetic?) merc....so more fresh paint on the way!!frown

The offending VW - much worse damage than my merc!

Bloody hell Barry - 2 crashes within a few weeks of each other. Which shop did you buy your lucky white heather from?
