My boss is looking for an indy to get his defender serviced, MOTd, heated seats fitted (didn't realise this was possible?) and is also looking for somewhere that can give some lessons on how to properly use it off road. Any suggestions?

You want Gemm 4x4 in Larbert for the servicing and other bits. They are in the same industrial estate as xtreme karting

http://www.gemm4x4.co.uk/

LHD might be able to help you with places to learn how to user the Defender properly.

He has a defender and wants heated seats? Hey andrew have you pointed out to him that the reason you have a defender is do away with luxuary items like windscreens, roofs heaters etc and show your a man!!
( going to get hit by some of the gurls for that comment)

There is no finer instructor than Mr Ronnie Dale in Abbey St.Bathans. Ex Camel Trophy instructor and selector, tester of Discovery 3 and designer of the press launch off road course for Disco 3. Give him a try - he taught me everything I know wink

In Central it's got to be George or Bobby at Gemm 4x4 as mentioned by sherman. They are also involved with the scottish landrover club. Possible best bet would be to go along with one of the clubs to a play day.

No - but I know Ronnie pretty well. He trained me up for Camel Trophy selection, and I also won the Scottish Land Rover Trek competition at his place. He's a great bloke - used to do all the driver training for my customers at Appleyard.
