Yup, i'm the same. Everything has come - bar one thing from ebay so hopefully tomorrow or at the latest friday i guess!
Guess that will teach me to get nearly everything off the internet!

You are all buying from the wrong places folks.

I ordered a set of floor mats for the truck on Monday and they arrived Tuesday morning!! I was not expecting to see them till next week!

I had this a couple of weeks back from DHL.

It was a phone that was meant to be next day, they said it had been attempted 3 times and it plainly hadn't.

Turns out that it's some kind of 'service' that uses people doing deliveries in their private cars. I got hold of the mobile number for the woman that had the parcel and she admitted she hadn't even been up the street - apparently it was impassable due to the weather, this despite me (and all my neighbours) getting in and out every day.

I ended up collecting it from the depot at the Gyle, and the guys there said what she had done amounted to fraud as she would get paid due to attempting delivery.

So, DHL, your efforts to cut costs by paying housewives in private cars paltry amounts to deliver your parcels has just resulted in giving your service a bad name.

Meanwhile, all my stuff from Amazon has turned up just fine by Royal Mail..

That's a great idea thumbup

The only thing that's gone missing for me is a Christmas card from my mum that was posted at the start of December. I wouldn't mind so much but it has a cheque for the Christmas beer fund in it frown

I'm still waiting on a couple of things, though I've no idea if they will ever turn up.

Waited all day for a delivery from TNT yesterday, and then they only delivered 1 of the 2 boxes that were send. I had to go to the depot to pick the other box up. Had a package on next day delivery from City Link, they didn't even attempt to deliver it, again I just picked it up from the depot.

I managed to get a DVD which I had ordered at the beginning of December, but the first 3 suppliers I contacted who said they had it, then would come back a few days later saying that they couldn't source it.

Nah I ordered in advance or simply went out to the shops. I have ordered a new pc but requested delivery after the new year to stop it sitting in a sub zero warehouse for 2 weeks.

Not Christmas gifts but no parts delivery (stock or emergency orders) for over a week now! We have had 2 deliveries in the past 2 weeks instead of daily. The amount of vehicles we have in our yard awaiting parts on those deliveries would astound you and you can imagine the irate customers and downtime claims.....

That was it! Been at depot twice and been told its a home delivery driver that had it, so they wouldn't get it back in. Finally got home today to find said springs in my bin, card through the door to say where they were. Surely that could've been done in any of the four previous attempts to deliver!
