Edinburgh help for an exiled Yorkshireman...
Discussion
Evening all,
So, a change of job means I'm now due to be working in Edinburgh 1-2 nights a week for the next couple of years (yes! beats London any day of the week), so I was wondering whether you'd all be so kind as to point me in the direction of some interesting ways to pass my evenings (no, not of the "Burke & Hare" variety
).
I'll be staying in the city centre (Waverley Bridge / Royal Mile) area, so in addition if anyone can advise on some decent, independent restaurants where I can get healthy, home-cooked food then I'd be most grateful.
Also, any meets up in the Edinburgh area? I'll be in the Alpina some trips so would be good to pop along.
Thanks in advance,
BF

Fluffnik is your man. He arranges the Edinlushes meets. They all meet up for grub, drinks and chat usually every month. Fluff is in to his Alpina's so you will have an instant friend there!! Keep an eye up for the threads when there meet are. If you are looking car runs and stuff then check out the event calender at the top of the page.

Famous Graham will be only too happy to take you devil worshipping whilst painted up like someone from the WWE if that's your thing
The edinlush meets are great though, I need to get back through for one soon.

Not until April. And since I'm moving to Boston in the Spring, chances are I won't be involved in Beltane this year

Hail fellow ALPINAista!
As others have mentioned we have a good selection of [Edinthing]s which crop up here in the Scotland forum not least of which is the infamous Edinlush on the third Thursday of every month.
It is not generally difficult to raise interest in Edineating proposals.

We also have a facebook group and a Google calendar for your added convenience...
Blats, both organised and impromptu are quite definitely on the menu!
