Stonehaven to BOD, how long ?
Discussion
I hope there are one or two on here who do this regularly and can advise me
I have a course at Bridge of Don all next week, course starts at 08.30 each day, I will be leaving from Muchalls.
How long will it take me ? I am thinking of leaving around 07.15, early enough ?
Best route ? Anderson Drive/King Street/Boulevard ?

I reckon definately early enough. If you were to go straight to the Brig o' Dee, you'd be hitting it at 07:30 and I don't think it starts to queue badly until about 08:00. I could be wrong there though - I'll ask Charlie and Graeme.Corpulent Tosser said:

What I'd do is ...- Take the "Aberdeen Harbour" exit from the A90
- Right down Wellington Road past Shell
- At the Queen Elizabeth Bridge roundabout take second exit toward Torry (Craig Place / Menzies Road)
- Left on to Victoria Road, across the bridge and then Market Street
- At the Guild Street lights, turn right on to Virginia Street
- Straight on at the Commerce Street lights (right hand lane)
- Second (?) left on to Cotton Street and follow it up to Links Road
- Left / right on to the Boulevard and then left on to the Esplanade
- Follow the Esplanade to Brig o' Don, turn right and the rest is clear
Cheers,
Eric

Don't do it regularly but went across from BoD to Altens at around 9ish this morning, took me about 20mins or so to get across there, but by then traffic is cleared a bit.
I'd try going round the beach boulevard, probably better than the Drive and Union/King Street, probably your best bet!
Listen to Kiltie... better answer than mine.

Along the beach is your best option. We have a few people who come in from that side of town every day, and going via the beach is much quicker than King Street, as there aren't 25 sets of lights to get stuck at, or empty bus lanes...
If you'll be near the AECC give me a shout, as we could meet up for a chat at lunchtime
