Hi all,
was driving back for Glasgow , just entered the Dumbarton boundary when I was pulled at the Little Chef and Esso station. the copper was really nice, popped over and the first thing he said please dont worry, i just need to check your Vin number as there has been a 911 like your stolen recently. He was in a big 4x4 and behind him was a BMW and a bike behind him. So they were ready for a chase.
Anyone just had theirs stolen????

I must be slipping, didn't notice them at first. Just coming out of a 70 limit to 40 it could have been a very different outcome. They must have been setting up the stop for a while. They had plenty of hardware ready in case I ran which must have been diverted from other areas.
It is good that they are checking though.

yeah at least they are using our tax's fo some good from time to time i just found it odd that the 4x4 and car had pulled in for you i thought you had really been going for it wink

Yeah they do sit in dumbarton from time time as the station is just up the road a bit and as you say drops from 70-40 limit easy pickings,

No was going relatively easy. I did excelerate from the 50 to 70 by the Bridge but then kept to 70 ish. I had driven all the way through Glasgow, so I must have been seen much earlier and they gt the hardware ready. The car can do almost 200 mph and 0-60 must be in the region of 3.8 seconds. Had the car been stolen and I had gone for it then they would have had to use firm force to stop the car. You right though it is good to se them checking and I told the copper as much as well. No point getting upset, its there job. Good to see IYAM
