Hi to all Glasgow area folks,

Just wondering if anyone knows of any property as title states in Bishopton / Renfrewshire area.
Due to expanding family need to upsize to a min 3 bedroom house. Only other stipulation is I need a garage for the P&J.
Been going cross eyed constantly looking on Internet and dealing with estate agents for last 4 months.

I know house hunting is a personal thing, however who knows , maybe someone owns or knows of a property coming up in near future. You don' ask , you don't get as they say.
Thanks in advance for any replies

Will - kiwifraser used PH as an estate agnet and I think it worked for him.
However the ugly question of money raises its head.
What is your budget?
These are close to me and some have been around a while so you may be able to make a cheeky offer!

Hi Barry,
Thanks for that.
Just a wee bit high end of the budget TBH, but gorgeous all the same.
Looking around £350 K max , which as you probably know does not get you much these days. That's what happens when the ex makes off with all your dosh, and you have to start from square one mid - life when house prices have increased !! Last thing I want to do is have to sell the motor to fund the purchase.grumpy

Don't have a property to sell so at least not tied in that respect.
There was a cracking house in Bishopton on the market that I wanted to look at when got back to UK, but it has suddenly disappeared off the radar, so I reckon it must have been withdrawn from sale. No note of "offers" or closing date before it went.
Anyway, will just have to persevere. Thanks anyway

I'll rent you a nice 3 bed house with a double garage and parking for 6 cars. It's kind of near Bishopton (on a map). Don't fancy moving to Falkirk???? ha ha

This one's been on for a while....bit close to the main road and at the start of the housing estate but very nice none the less.

We looked at these as they were being built but owing to the nature of the plots there is a fair bit of overlooking..... but it is reasonably priced and only 10 min walk from teh train station and pubs.

£350k will buy you a big house in Bishopton. I would advise Langbank as its a nicer area with a great primary school. Kilmacolm is a bit further away but even better.

My inlaws also live in Langbank - average age is about 216 IIRC....and I think the local highschool is Port Glasgow! Same with Kilmacolm although there is an expensive private option.

Thanks for all your input. Very much appreciated.
I do like Langbank, but the issue could well be the High School scenario in the "Port" !
How is the High School in Erskine ? As that would be the catchment area for Langbank I think ?

My wife went there and she'll tell you that it isn't what it used to be!whistle
However here is the report:
http://www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/ilwwcm/publishing.n...
They are doing a lot of capital work just now so facilities should be good when they finish.
