Bloody weather forecasts!!

So from 3pm yesterday afternoon, on every news and weather bulletin on Radio Clyde they are telling us that very heavy snow is going to sweep across Glasgow from 3am and we will wake to chaos, black ice and whiteout conditions for the rush hour.

I get up early, at 7 - no sign of snow. Get ready and into car for half seven - no sign of snow, just saw frozen sleet on the windscreen which fell at 9pm last night.

Think to myself, it might be like that last time when it came down very quickly so put a shovel in the boot.

Get into Glasgow and now, at 9:15, the sun is shining! So does anhyone need any gardening done - might as well make use of the bloody spade!!

Snow here in Dundee, maybe an inch, but the sun is out now so hopefully it will be gone by lunchtime

It was snowing in my part of Edinburgh at around 8 this morning. It wasn't settling though. Overnight it hammered it down and there was a howling gale until some early hour.

it snowed in stirling this morning, well i say snow, trying to stop my self sneezing so i dont blow it all away before i can gather it all together and make stirlings only snowball

Exactly thats my point, its like the boy who cried wolf!

If they keep telling us that there is heavy snow coming and it doesn't, well we will stop believing them (if we ever started) and then we will end up with the chaos of the last time!

Wind has really picked up here and so has the rain in the past hour or so, very stormy now.

Very stormy here, winds are blowing a gale and the rain is absolutely hammering down, causing flooding

Looked out of window this morning 9back of Hamilton) at 7am to high windows and *horizontal* snow.

When I left the house a couple fo hours later, there was a centimetre or so on the ground.

i just got in gave the car a v quick wash put it away then the rain started. perfect timing. i imagine there will be alot of snow tomorrow morning

lol wasnt actualy as bad as i thought it was although few strong gusts of wind gave me a bit of a wobble lol.
bloody annoying people when the umbrella goes inside out they stand in the middle of the pavement and then hit you with it as you walk past and dont even appologise.
