Thanks
Know the difference between class 10 and 12? I know there is a chap or two on here that enter...
I see some evo 9's are class 10, some are 12. I will try look through regs to find out
Just looked at some of the times by localish drivers

Well done, not too far off the top in first couple of stages I have looked at.
Not sure what the mechanical limits and rules are, but exactly how much is down to wallet size Vs talent on the evo9's/subaru's?

On that basis, he has done very well today.
It would be interesting to see what Andy is running gearbox, engine and fuel wise...he did post on here occasionally so please share if you see this...
Hopefully it will be close enough for the next rally.
Looking forward to Granite city rally again too.
Christ, that's only in April....
Out of interest, what would be the biggest costs and benefit for Chris's car now? Different box and fuelling?
Cheers

To be honest I think on the basis of today's result the car will be staying as it is spec wise. The 6 speed Impreza boxes are apparently bulletproof, and Brian Downie's given the car a good going over during the winter, so it doesnt need any fancy bits bolting on to make it quick.
By Chris's own admission, his next big spend will be to get down to Mark Higgins rally school to learn how to really drive it. Never been there myself but from what I hear some highly experienced drivers have come back from there feeling really small having been pointed out what they're going wrong!
The link above is his old site and will be coming down this week, new one up here:

It would be a dream of mine to compete, however, I won't be sending emails or making threads until I am on a contractor rate or receive a income which will allow me to do enter! I have a fair idea of typical car cost, entry fee's, trailer, transport, hotels, parts etc.
Write up would be interesting Chris, as I am sure there are plenty of other fans here!
