Elderly Photographer at Scottish Events = anyone know him
Discussion
Hi
I expect lots will know the chap I mean. Elderly chap with a moustache & flat cap who shows up at loads of motorsport events in Scotland.
I think he shoots with film as opposed to digital.
He was at the Monklands Car Club Trials today and I reckon he must have got some good shots of my car getting thrashed round the hillsides.
Anybody know if he sells/displays his work anywhere or otherwise how to get in touch?
If not I'll have a chat with him at the next event
Cheers,
D

I remember him first in 1962 so he has been around a while but I still see him at Doune every year
Cheers

Ah - you mentioned the Pistonheads sticker? Sorry didn't get chance to shoot the breeze more (for obvious enough reasons lol
)
I had a similar hat in the boot and wished I had put it on - it was a bit on the chilly side at times.
Was pleased with how the Spitfire did today - just need to find a way to make my front spoiler detachable so I can remove it before going out on the hills next time rather than having the hills remove it for me.
Cheers

Been in touch with Bill (or rather with his son) and he's going to do a couple of A4 prints for a good price.
One from the start of the day when my car still had its front spoiler and one from later in the day without spoiler.
Very helpful chaps. Wish I'd taken the time to have a chat with Bill on the day (And will do next time) as looks like he has had a very interesting career having been photographing Scottish Motorsport since 1947....
