Crashing in Aberdeenshire WTF?
Discussion
What is it with all the cars off the road with 'POLICE AWARE' stickers on them at the moment - did the recent snow scare everyone?
Just today I passed:
A neatly parked new M3 saloon off the A96 just outside Aberdeen in a field
A 58 plate focus looking like it was in fishing next to a ditch near new deer
An old passat on it's roof in a ditch somewhere past Turriff
And earlier in the week I saw a saxo, fiesta and BMW all looking like they've chased a fox off the road at high speed!
Keep safe people!

Couple of cars off the road on the Alford road.
I remember once, 20+ years ago, seeing a car in the field that's in between the Westhill branch and the Tarland branch at the Tarland roundabout. Thing was, the car was about two thirds of the way up the field. The tracks *started* about halfway up the field. He must have been fully airborne for some 50 feet or so. I reckoned he'd been heading away from Aberdeen at some speed, onto to come over the brow of the hill and have his *oh f
k* moment as he noticed the roundabout. I should also mention, the *first* set of skidmarks went straight over the roundabout. And, by the time the car had reached its final resting place up the field all four wheels were collapsed up inside the wheel wells.
To give you an idea of time, this wasn't long after that bit of the road had been dualled.

seen a few of them been driven by 'chav' types.....http://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/Article.aspx/21759...
Set of from Glasgow on the M8 Eastbound yesterday, RWD five series so not the best in snowy conditions. Decided to turn back at Harthill but there was a jacknifed sainsburys lorry on the westbound slipway and diesel all over the road so had to rejoin Eastbound. Got near Bathgate and seen a Saab on its side. Ended up just driving through to Edinburgh as it was closer than Glasgow by this point.

Sy, what time was that at?I was going along about 10.30. passed a car on the embankment not long after Newhouse with a Police Focus estate on hardshoulder, then on the bend before Harthill junction a Merc had hit the centre barrier. Was also a Luton type van had landed in a field.
Noticed Harthill services were shut with 3 fire engines on the exit slip road - what was that all about?

Saw this at lunchtime today thought the exact same thing! It isn't even like that M3 is anywhere near the road! It's a parked a good way away against a fence. Saw the abandoned cars at Duthie Park and a Rover 25 in a ditch on South Deeside Road over the last few days as well.I noticed the M3 too. Can't work out if he has lost it at high speed, gone to sleep or been avoiding someone coming down the hill from the other side and couldnt stop. Did well though as cant see much damage.
Another unlucky person on Saturday morning on the Tarland road. The skid tracks just behind the trailer were from the next car who came along skidded into the barrier too! BEWARE OF SLUSH! Typical Land Rover, pulled out by a tractor, bent the step back and back on the road!
