For Gokarting speak to Xtreme Karting. They have a track just out side Edinburgh
http://www.xtremekarting.co.uk/

For Clay pigieon shooting you will have to go slightly further away (unless anyone else knows of somewhere near Edinburgh) to Cluny Clays near Kircaldy in Fife.

There is a round of the British Hillclimb Championship at Doune Hillclimb on the 18th & 19th June.
Doune is about 30 mins North of Edinburgh and is generally accepted as the best and most exciting venue in the UK for spectators as well as competitors. A great day out for Pistonheads!

I was at Xtreme's new place on Sat 19th for a stag and it was excellent fun - we had 17 out of the 38 who took part in the open grand prix - great laugh.

To finish, me and a mate drove home with the roof down on the mx5, with our balaclavas on - looked like a gay burglars' day oot - many weird looks on the bypass biggrin

Ratho indoor climbing and high wire course. Bedlam paintball, always good to do this before you take your stag to the "triangle" so when the friendly ladies remove his clothes he looks like disease ridden with all the paintball brusies wink

Wondered how long it would be before the triangle got a mention.

From what I hear, many of the 'ladies' also look like they've been paintballing...with no armour.

We have a stag do coming up for a friend soon and we’ve booked up to take him to Raceland for their outdoor karting (apologies to Scott, nothing against your place!) before ferrying him back to Glasgow for the evening entertainment.

Cheers for the advice so far people. Never been to Edinburgh for a night out so "the triangle" sounds interesting. Haha! I'll see what everyone fancies doing and get things booked up. 

The Burke and Hare used to do an interesting back sack and crack for stags which involved some flamable spirt and a lighter, not sure if they can still do that with the smoking ban though biglaugh

Start off in Tiles, St Andrews Square, then leave it. Drink in every 3rd bar along Rose St, make sure you visit my personal favourite, the Kenilworth. Drink right to the end of Rose Street and head up Lothian Rd to Bottoms Up. From there, Grassmarket and do things to the countless students you'll find there.

Well. Stag doo this weekend. Got karting booked up and we will be visiting the recommended bars.
1 question I will ask is " is fantasy palace actually any good?" or are people winding me up? Haha

Yeah Fantasy Palace is great (so I heard!) We do a package with them where you get entry and a 2 course meal for £25. The food is great tbh, oh and the view is ok as well. Email me if you need any info ideas of other places as we deal with many in Edinburgh bouncedrink info@xtremekarting.co.uk

Cheers. Just got to ring your place back in the morning to confirm the karting as all the lads come back with a 'yer, let's do it'. Any advice on where to/what to do would be appreciated as non of us have been to Edinburgh before! Could be interesting. Haha
