40th Birthday Party help ....

I am a huge fan of all things motor related but my question doesnt directly relate to that - but didnt know where else to post so here goes........Im having my 40th birthday party here at my house at the end of the month , Im looking for suggestions to ensure the party is a good 'un - any advise , tips , suggestions , ideas , pointers , do's and dont's .....all advise is really appreciated - thanks Barry

Make sure you have a plan a and b depending on weather.
A nice chiminea / fire basket can be a good outside focal point as the night gets colder
Make up some good playlists on the ipod so that you can just leave it to run all night
Check out cheap booze deals at supermarkets

I'm having my 40th next Sat night...but decided to have it in the local golf club rather than the house.

Great DJ with a wee karaoke (gotta indulge myself) lined up.

All my close friends and family together - that's all I need.
