Hello and that is a very nice looking wedge. Built in '86, mine as well, number ...502
Perhaps they were built together. This number 502 has some other numbers written on body parts. One is 499 so mine is perhaps put together with the wrong numbered parts but they fit, which is as always a sign that anything is possible with TVR and the use of things available during assembly....

The last three numbers of the chassis number. Not waterproof as TVR numbered as they liked and often even a separate range per model 'type'. So for a fixed head and convertible it could be different, as for special series (390, 400, SEAC etc) it could be different again. If you have the book written by Steve Heath, you can find an explanation of how the chassis number is built up.
To sum it up, TVR is all magic wink

Well, if I was to go with the chassis number, mine is 431, but I will look at "the bible" and confirm smile
