Needing a few bits for a project, and it being a sunny day, I thought I'd get my pate browned and took the Wedge for a spin. Approaching a T junction and passing a school which was at the time engaged in cycle training for kids aged about 10 (well done that school!) I had () to change down but keep my foot lightly on the accelerator. There was a long period of burbling from my rear end (rather like the morning after a good curry). The kids LOVED it! Jumped up and down and shouted "Nice car, Mister." and "Coorrrrrrrr!".

Now with a serious aerodynamic problem owing to my head having swollen (must have been the sun ) I had to give it a little welly at the T junction. The burbling turned into a shriek and a long squeal (must have been the hot road ). In my rear-view mirror I saw a group of kids rapidly dimishing in size and bouncing up and down like ... well ... excited kids.

Nice to do something that brings joy to others' hearts as well as one's own.

You lucky, lucky, lucky barsteward

Had a simular passing a kiddies football playground thingy and they all stopped a clapped as we rumbled by.

I was stuck doing one of them company must do courses saying we must be the best etc. Same as the last course of its type only worded different. Sat in an office. An office with a window. A window that had sunshine on the other side. A window that had sunhine on the other side and we were stuck inside with the aircon up the spout.

Make up for it tomorrow.

I had a good one the other day, out 'testing' my new springs, stopped at a junction burbling away, some boy and his father sat on a wall at the side of the road.

Kid sais to his father 'cor I like that car dad'. Father says 'Yes son, I have always liked TR7's myself'.

Plonker!

Repeated treatment this morning (same school, different kids, same result). Now my grin has spread from ear to ear and there is a danger of my head splitting in two if I yawn!

But who can yawn when driving a wedge?
