Hi

How easy to remove the veneered plate that holds the radio & assorted switches on a 350 style dash?

Thanks

Hi Mate..If your talking about the small centre console then there are two screws, One either side of it..Im not 100% but i dont think the actual plate is fixed..More held in position by the console..The switches should pop out towards you,They have a clip type action behind them which will need to be firmly squeezed before they come out...You will need to unplug them as well..Once the console if off you should be able to see what needs doing..

Sorry its a bit blurred but you can see a clip that holds in the switch..Yours wont be exact but similar..Good luck..Cheers..Ziga

Agree with ziga re two screws, but depends on how they built yours as may be even simpler. On ours, after removing the cowel, the two screws release the veneer plate but all the switches are mounted on another identical black plate behind the front one so no switches to remove. Later ones appear to have done away with the second backing plate.

I just removed the two screws from the sides of the centre console and removed the leathered covered surround, remove the stereo and fag lighter and the plate just lifted off.

I posted a few pictures of mine removed from the car.
