Hi everyone,

whilst negotiating a right hand turm into my drive, heard a clunk and a tinkle.... went back to find a piece of bracket on the floor, looks like an anti-roll bar bracket appears to be missing underneath, but the bush is still in situ (the two cental ones as opposed to the ends) so hopefully that's what it is...

Which Ford, Rover, Renault or Volvo part may be compatible may I ask?

Jay

PS - anyone going th Pembrey tomorrow? I just checked it out but didn't go in as working this afternoon....

They are a Ford part jay but not sure what off. This happened to mine a. couple of times so I drilled a hole in the bottom of both of them and bolted them to the chassis. I bought mines from tvr car parts in devon. Only about 8 quid plus vat iirc

Ford granada springs to mind, which can pop out as mentioned in the wedge bible. And adding a bolt could secure it for the future. Don't know if it matters regarding the brackets but it seems there are two stabilisor sizes used.

Available from Ford for ~£4, FINIS part no 1515773.
Has anyone sourced one from Ford recently though? I thought it was an obsolete part some time ago.

Get a big lump of Ali, cut in half, clamp it and drill it the size of the ARB, then bolt it to the car, that's what we have on the racers.

Confirmed to be the near side anti-roll bar bracket, and it's failure was actually caused by a fracture on the bold side where it starts to bend arround the bar itself... Thanks for all your assistance. Jay

Would it be worth getting these? I was thinking more "fit and forget" given the originals can be unreliable? Jay

That's sort what we all use on the racers, plus seems a ok price.

I'm using those on mine, no problems.

But to fit them you do need to drill a bolt hole for each mount, not the easiest thing due to poor access.
