Just had a call from zig, poor sod has broken down, clutch cable this time has snapped. Couldn't be much help apart from a few suggestions as I don't know much about the Ford lump.
You take it from ere Mark when you get home.

Engine off, stick it in first, start engine. Car will shudder a bit as it pulls away but will get back on clutchless changes.

Thanks chaps..6 hours later..cry..Its fixed..Had to cut a massive hole in the side of the wheel arch to get to the cable..Not really..But it would of been easier..You cant get to the adjuster as its right under the oil filter..The pedal end has a banjo type screwed fitting on the cable the other is just a nipple..Ooo missus..with a grub screw..I think it must have been designed like this as there is a 10mm bolt that the pedal end banjo goes over and it looks like the same mechanism as the bonnet release where the outer operates it..Looks like you just replace the inner cable..I broke down right outside the sorting office and when i got home there was a post office card put through saying we missed you..The irony..I even went there this morning to pick up a packet before i broke down..Now do i chance it or do i buy a new cable..Its practically back how it was although i have more travel in the pedal..I better buy a throttle cable just in case..Cheers..Ziga

I went on one in hastings when i was a kid with the primary school and we got to the top and it broke down..Then when i was about 15 i called a lift which was at the 11th floor whilst going to visit a friend..I heard a very loud whinning whoosing sound and the lift crashed at the bottom of the tower block below the ground floor where the maintenance level was..Good job no-one was in it at the time..Thats why ive never done a bungee jump..

Zig

Not more problems, are you going for the sympathy vote!!!! (Adam do we have one of those in the competitions!)

Well if you car will not get you to BBWF! you could always take one of mine! as my foot is going to be longer than I thought/hope!
The use of a car would be on the understanding you don't have a saw, knife or touch any cable's! rolleyes
