Does everyone else's car have to have the POP up lights in the up position before you can use the full beam or flasher the car jas always been like this just seems a bit awkward when you need to flash a gorgeous blonde out of a junction. Plus the fact it looks like you are fiddling with something else when you cant find the headlamp switch on the dash?

Mine pops up when i flash?...Oh your talking about the headlights..I actually found a wire on the stalk that had came off..Im not suggesting your has..It was a blue and white stripped wire and when i connected it back up i have this function, Although there was a little puff of smoke from the cowl if i held it back too long..I think its stopped smoking now..especially as i dont allow smoking in the car...Ziga

My car pops the pods up if you pull the flash switch towards you with the lights off.

It wouldn't take an electrical genius to have it just flash the driving/fog/spotlamps instead though: I have no doubt that the pedants would point out Chapter 6, verse 5, paragraph (b) of the Construction and Use regs. that state it has to be the headlamps that flash, but you'd struggle to find an MOT tester that picky.
Arguably it'd be a better option, since by the time the pods come up the lights have gone off anyway!

My pods don't pop up with a flash even though the headlight unit lights up, but the spots do flash(if switched on). Think I have seen all possible permutations of headlight flashing on a wedge even some frankly odd ones.

How do you change the main/dip bulb, is it pods up & frontal or do you approach from underneath & behind?

Thanks

Hi Mate..Yes..Pod up and disconnect battery..Gently prise out the headlamp where the three studs go into the outer rim..They pop out..Turn the unit round to access the bulb..Fitting is reverse..Just pop the headlight unit firmly back into place..You can just see the holes at the top of the screws..ziga

If my lights aren't on when I flash then the driving lamps flash but the pods don't raise. Not sure if the headlights come on though, can't stretch me neck that far to check.......................
