I was thinking of getting a posse together for a curry, have a couple of curry houses in mind, on in Stratford and one in a village nearby.

Perhaps get a large taxi/people carrier?

i will be there friday so i can make a full weekend of it, but not in the wedge. cant wait its always a good weekend

The White Horse (turn left out the gate across the field and onto the main road, pub is 100m down on the left) should be open after 18 months. They do food and you'll be a good test for them as they have maybe been open less than a week! Will be better atmos and cheaper than the hotel.
If anyone goe syou'll have to let me know what it's like as we're having our BBQ there in 2 weeks for the Growl.

The pub is actually open at 5pm today for the first time since January 2010 (literally just spoke with Mark who is the new owner)!. I've been in contact with him for the last few months as we had a hog roast at the hotel last year and although it was good, and a change, it wasn't the same atmosphere so we agreed to go with a BBQ down the White Horse. It was due to be open about a month ago but timings have slipped and only just made it, which is good as we didn't have a contingency. Enjoy the night and see you tomorrow.

I just spoke to him too - he seems very friendly. BUT the kitchen is not open tonight, just "some nibbles" and of course drink.

I suggest we eat somewhere earlier and then end up at the WH?
