Magnetti Marelli Alternator Connections

Can anyone shed any light on the wires that are hanging out of the back of the alternator but not connected?

There are push on spade terminals which would accept the wiresbut they are not connected?

What are they for as i don't have any charging issues but i would love to find out what the purpose is?

Has anyone else noticed this

Do not connect them - its in the Range Rover manual in the supplement at the back I think - they look like they do connect but only if you want to let the smoke out of your alternator I think.

Hey thank's for the heads up. I never like to simply connect things thatlook like they may have come adrift for the reason you indicated.
