Tell em its not your problem and you want it sorted without more delay. There's no way they can charge you for new stuff either.

yes, but I need the car by the weekend at the latest for Le Mans next week. Need to tax the car, fit the interior, pack, do a few hundred miles before taking it to france too

its no consolation Jason but mine is due to be off to le mans and then doing another 2k around europe and went off to the mechanic over a week ago to find out he is on holiday all this week and has now got just monday and tuesday to order all the required parts, fit them, MOT it, service it, fit a new clutch master cylinder, thermostat, shock absorbers and diagnose and fix the lumpiness its been having problems with.
