A good offer to keep you on the road but I'd be looking at borrowing this one. The early wedge bumpers/spoilers were quite well made (low volume of cars being made) and are quite thick. It won't take too long to repair the original and possibly less time than making a new one fit your car - the shape does vary quite a lot IME.

Sorry you've had this bump.

You do seem to have more than your fair share of bad luck, i think you will have to drown your sorrows with a few rusty's!! but as has been said its repairable without spending silly money.

Cheers guys..Thanks jon but a few rusty's might just make me flip like a pancake..My neighbour has been giving me hell for the past 10+ years and every time i try to sort it he denies he has done anything..He actually gave me the hump this morning which probably didnt set me off on the good foot..Ive used some foil tape for now just to stop it getting any worst..Like i say im unluckily lucky..It could of been worst..And im lucky ive got this forum and you chaps to help me through..Many thanks..Mark

If you're still using the car then spray all of the exposed fibres with paint. Any paint. Otherwise the damaged area will spread like cancer. You can't get the water out of fibres, not even in an oven, so don't let the rain in.

Other option would be to fit a splitter that we use on the racers.
but I think they are about £150.00

I would repair it in situ - cost about 15 quid in glass fibre mat, resin, and some filler. Much less hassle and you could paint it with an aerosol - it won't show up down there.

Hi Peeps,,On closer inspection i have found the O/S steering rack gaiter is now ripped...The O/S engine mount has torn and the contents of the radiator has started spilling itself out again via the header and catch tank...Even on a short journey, Which leads me to believe its either a sticking thermostat or a dodgey water pump, Although both were newly fitted a while back..My fear is that it still could be a head gasket but surely it wouldnt stop spitting the water out and then start again..It would get progressively worst i would of imagined...I dont know..Feels like im going backwards again..Cheers..ziga

Trouble is adam some of the fixings have ripped out and dont align any more..I was contemplating taking it off to repair?..I havent really done any fibreglass work as of yet though. But i suppose now is the time to learn...Ziga
