That's cheap but that's what 280i "wedges" are making not a lot!

Mmm.Theres hope for me yet..My engine is a lot cleaner than that..Although the rest needs some attention..I will probably end up keeping mine..Fitting a 3.8 supercharged Holden V6 and fitting ABS if poss as the brakes are scary when you have to emergency stop..Even with the help of a traffic island..Im now committed to this car which will probably end up with me being committed to an Asylum.. nuts

You could probably upgrade to the vented Granada disc setup without too much grief but you may have to change the wheels, not sure if the bits will fit in the Telcasts. I have the Granada setup but even that leaves a lot to be desired when you're going into a corner a bit hard and the pedal feels like it has a brick under it but you're not slowing down... eek
The Austin Princess 4-piston setup is a better option for not much more money. Must get around to fitting mine... smash
You'd be dead in no time if you had a monster engine with the standard brakes - unless you stuck to drag-racing wobble

Yes, you'll need (slightly) wider wheels to go over the vented disc type calipers.

Even with the 4 pots it was 'interesting' trying to pull up in time at the end of the York drag strip Ian. eek

Now I now your are mad!
The cost of doing what you suggest will be beyond what you think, especally as you will have to get a garage etc to do it! Also don't forget you suspension problems found at BBWF etc!

Save your money and get a 350i or 400SE be cheaper in the long run!

is it not worth cutting your losses and get the V8 you want?
put your car on ebay, describe it 'warts n all' with low reserve and let the market decide - you may take a hit but less grief in the long run.
