Right folks what would you like BBWF 2012 to consist of. Is there anything you would change? What would you keep the same? This your event and your chance to speak up.

I think the roads around Ettington are pants, but maybe that's just me. Can you dig up the Chase and move it to the North Yorks Moors? hehe

My personal opinion is that the main elements should always remain..Its about having fun and keeping it real..Im not too fussed as regards to traders as i didnt go there to buy stuff..The memorabillia is fine and dandy as its more of a "I was there" thing, Maybe a T-shirt printing stall for the more creative amoung us..Rolling road..valetting service..paint and interior finishers..All good..What about a doughnut zone and i dont mean fried ones either..Maybe vary the entertainment each year and incoperate some interaction..karaoke or singing comps could be a laugh..Even pass the parcel and musical chairs are funny after a few beers..I know most go there to talk car and socialise but sometimes you need to let your hair down, Even if you dont have any...maybe a drive out with somewhere to stop along the way, something like a dis-used airstrip would be good or some karting or even a spot of lunch and a shandy..Also perhaps a farewell brekkie on the sunday for those that are staying over just to say our thanks and goodbyes ..I think overall nothing really needs changing just spicing up a little from time to time...Ziga

Im wth you there Zig, make it a bit more fun, Its a knockout style games that you can inclued car rounds in. A sing song always works for me , look what Elvis did this year. Quiz. Charity on site also a good idea. How about a Red Arrows fly past again, that was ace.

Aye, I don't mind karaoke. paperbag
How about a treasure hunt for the drive-out? Or maybe someone could get us into a place of interest (the TVR factory would have been the obvious choice once upon a time frown ). Some of the places I get to with work would be ideal but H&S wouldn't co-operate, I suspect. Alloy wheel foundries, engine plants, munitions works, nuclear sites, foundries, fabrication shops, gas turbine makers... used to go to the Orange Arrows F1 team HQ at Leafield in Oxon, that was engineering wk-tastic (not far from Etters, ironically, but Arrows no longer exists).

Scottish borders - only if Wedgers are willing to travel that far some classics roads there for run out [just ask Rob] first Rusty Run.
London to Dumfries - approx 340 miles. At the same time we'll travel to where ever the Fest is being held as we are slightly isolated from the rest of the Wedgers.

As long as i can have a good blast out on the day, a massive drink on the night with me old marra's, and my wicked way with the wife when i wake up i dont mind at all. Well usually 2 out of three every year then!!!. Possibly a bit more central for me ie Nottingham Sheffield etc etc, but not too bothered. Wedgie is right mind the N/Yorkshire moors have some unbelievable roads.

I am waiting for call backs from 2 posibles. The North Lakes Hotel at Penrith and what I think is a better option, The Holiday Inn, just off junction 34 at Lancaster. The Holiday Inn because, A--Its cheaper and has a 130 people function room, B-- Its away from built up area, unlike North Lakes.

Not sure If its too far to travel for you southern lot though eek

Holiday Inns or Premier Inns dont have a problem as they are large rooms and comfortable as well as good prices, H/Inn i would check how much breakfast costs first as we were ask to pay £13 per skull in H/Inn Aberdeen, could be different in Lancaster.

Have to say the roads driven and the scenery on the RNR1 are the best i have ever driven or seen in the UK. Belting along one road and we spotted a Chim parked up in the distance. We gave it big licks down the road and they guy from the Chim had his camera at the ready. If i remeber righly he had been following to RNR post and nipped down to get some real action shots.

Speaking as a "punter" these are the things I enjoy:

- A nice drive out but not too late so I can have some bevvies in the afternoon.
- Some "technical talks" on chassis or mechanicals and the like
- A good evening do - hog roast is always a favourite. And more bevvies.
- Meeting people - I am crap with names so the name badges this year were an inspiration!
- Some silly shenanigans such as rev-ups, dutch people doing donuts, etc etc.
- Looking up close at some unusual wedge-related engineering such as SH's purple shed, or Rev's new beast, the White Elephant, etc.
- Motorsport of some shape on the Sunday.
