Dumb question. Where's the fusebox on a 280i convertible? I looked in all the usual places and can't see it. The car is LHD.

Thanks

Mine is on the firewall behind the glove box. You get "access" to it by dropping the knee plate under the dash in the pass side.

Is it in the glovebox itself? Later cars had a pull-out panel on the back of the glovebox that ides the fuses. Otherwise, is it in the engine bay?

Did you get on your back and look there though. Took me a while to find it hidden up there. What year? It isn't under the hood is it?

Hi Paul

How's it going? Long time no hear since you moved
but never expected to see you on Wedge forum

Did you get the Wedge bug from my old Chocolate brown 350i
or did you see (and hear!!!!) my 400 before you emigrated?

Good to hear you are still about on here

All the best

Cheers

Ok, found it. It's actually in the glovebox behind a "secret" cover. smile

Anyway, problem not solved. My RHS window won't work. Hoped it was a fuse but apparently not. Is it likely to be the motor or is there another explanation?

Thanks.

Hi Richard

Yeah, it was the old brown Wedgie that did it! Actually it's the youngest TVR officially available here as TVR stopped importing into the USA in '87. I hadn't planned to buy one, has intended to get an early XK8 as a summer smoker, but I saw this one in Hemmings and it was less than 5 miles from my house! Fate dictated that I couldn't resist!

Cheers

Paul

Glad you found it. Check to see if you have power on either side of the switch. I know when I got mine neither worked and just cleaning up the contacts solved it. Hope you fix is as simple! Going to Woodwork?
