TVR 350i Reg no C385 AYG
Discussion
Hey all. I'm the very proud new owner of a silver TVR 350i which was advertised on Pistonheads.
Quickly browsing the forums, I've noticed it's caught some attention, and even possibly a few previous owners may be on here?
I'd be very keen on learning the car's past history, if anyone knows it, past or present, please drop me a line!
Incidentally, the car's not in too bad a shape. However, I'm intending on sorting all the brake system, clutch hydraulics, some electrical issues, and getting the engine running right, before I put it back on the road.
I'm very proud of the old thing, and it'll be much loved. It appears I rescued it from a possibly dodgy fate. The guy I bought it from took it in payment for a spray paint job on his friend's Fiesta.......

This is the car as it currently stands

As my car was similarly registered C399AYG, I'm guessing it started life around October 1985 and was sold from Harrogate Horseless Carriages, probably by Tony Abrams but I don't think he'll remember all the cars he sold so I'm actually no help at all so will await a former owner to share the history

English, thanks very much! Stupid me though, I have no idea how to retrieve sent messages! Is there an inbox on pistonheads itself, or will it forward to my e-mail address (have nothing there?).Thanks very much for replying though

FWIW, it's certainly quite a way from being road ready, and properly sorted car.
It's fundamentally very sound it seems, with a good solid chassis and so on.
It will take quite a bit of work though to get it back on the road, and much more on top to make it a tidy, sorted car.
The right car's out there though Zig I'm sure.

Bob.
Cheers mate..Its good that another has been rescued..And its good to know that someone who cares about them bought it..Ive got me eye on something else anyway so im not too disappointed..Good luck with it..Keep us all posted on the progress..lets hope you sort it and can come to next years BBWF..Cheers..Ziga

Looks like the spit of my 350i C401AYG which is also Nimbus Grey with a blue hood. The only difference is mine doesn't have a transfer logo on the front end.
They both came from Harrogate Horseless Carriages probably sold within a few months of each other ;^)
Adam, that's really interesting, as I've been trying to find out the colour! Is that a specific TVR colour, or is it another manufacturer's colour? They both came from Harrogate Horseless Carriages probably sold within a few months of each other ;^)
Out of interest, how's your interior finished? Mine's also blue (two tone blue on the seats)! VERY 80's but I think it'd be criminal to change it!
Nimbus Grey is a Ford colour. You can still buy it in tins off the shelf in Halfrauds - great for touch-up (just spray into the lid..)
Mine is a full leather interior (not 3/4 or whatever) and is grey with blue piping. Standard black Momo wheel, original wood though it's splitting a bit here and there.

That's fantastic news!Mine is a full leather interior (not 3/4 or whatever) and is grey with blue piping. Standard black Momo wheel, original wood though it's splitting a bit here and there.
Your interior sounds great. Someone sadly cheaped out when mine was specced, as the console and transmission tunnel are blue vinyl, with the seats being half blue vinyl, half blue velour.
If the funds allowed, I'd have the seats retrimmed in leather with matching blue outers and grey leather centres. Still, something to aspire to eh!
