So frustrating this year. Hardly got out in her this year due to head gasket repairs money shortages and general lack of time, the tax runs out at the end of Sept and i have done less than 1000 miles in it. Sooo frustrating. Anyone else had these problems this year?

To be honest mate ive probably only done just over a 1000 miles in the whole year that ive owned mine..It sat for 6 months with tax and insurance on my mates drive and was completely un-driveable..Yet again its sitting outside and i cant use it until i sort it and ive only just stuck another 6 months tax on it and re-insured it..I suppose ive had a months worth of driving since ive owned it..It does my frigging head in...Especially as its my only car..mad..Ziga

Went out with Nursy on Sunday and did a quick 140 miles... almost killed us both when I pulled out to pass a Disco and there was a car in a hidden dip coming the other way... I did wonder why the two bikes behind us were holding back eekbanghead
It got really entertaining when the back brakes failed again later in the outing yikes
I'm not looking forward to another session grovelling under the rear-end, I'm getting too old for this sh!t...

Due to delays in getting front suspension bits in April because of all the Bank holidays she spent too much time on a garage lift , just when the weather was perfect. But now its done its worth the wait , need to test out the new flared trumpets when I've put bits back together ....

I just had a look to see how long i have owned my SX, i picked it up on the 21/12/09 so getting on for 20 months and only been able to drive her four times due to having her refurbished.

You can guess how i felt after the SX had been away to various places for the refub and then being delivered to my front door, i was so pleased to have her back and the smell of all that new leather was Mmmmm lovely !!

Now for the good bit where was my firt drive going to be i know to my first club meeting, so on a sunny April morning of this year we went to our first sunday club event, it was great looking at her and talking to other members about their cars.

You all know what happened on the way home, my heart sank after someone ran into the back of my the SX i felt so gutted and on my first proper drive of her.

Well its been four long months of worrying if it was going to be repaired but can finally report to you all that yes Yes i have had confirmation all repairs will be covered by BT clap so should have her back with me by the end of September for loads of driving to finish running her in after having her rebuiltwoohoowoohoo

So in four to five weeks i'll be reunited with the beast and back for good.

Martin,
I had a look around your car when I went to pick mine up. You must have been heartbroken. It's good news that BT will cough up the money.

Back to the original thread, I've hardly used mine in the past two years but I need to give it a really good shakedown as I'm taking it to Le Mans again next year. Hopefully nothing will fall off.

I know how you feel. Took my car into a mate's garage last September for some refurb work - thought it would be ready for April, then May, then June and now it looks like it will ready a year after I first started. I'm still gonna drive it this year regardless of the weather as I've done so much work....

Brave man, even if the Wedge is known to be less windy that certain other 'hairdressers' cars' we could mention... whistle

I know how you feel Dix after the rebuild last year and getting the car on the road at the start of this year for the BAR then lot long after that the oil pump started to show signs of dieing, so the time it took to get the parts and get it back togeather again and testing to see if it is working ok at TVR car parts had a bad batch.
Well after all the hard work getting it back togeather and it sender working correctly ive managed to cover 1500 plus miles this year and counting.

You just need to get the car out there Dix as soon as you can.
