Hi Mark
Funny thing we are both doing similar work on cars at present!
I have just replaced my water pump, thermostat, and had the rad recored!
Pic is before fitting of engine fan and rad, (Before the rain came down) as you can see they other fan is mounted on the body not the rad! I could also do with a new knob for my fan control!

I will post up pic when I finish, hopefully today, just depends on the weather.

Hi Andy..How did you get on with the thermostat housing?..I had to put longer bolts through mine as the thread ripped out of the new rear housing..(I think i need a torque wrench)..The body mounted fan is a good idea but mine has a shroud around it that would be too bulky, I have been sent four metal strips with holes in by demon tweeks and all i need to do is cut them to length and fit them in each corner of the fan then to each hole on the rad..Hopefully i should get my rad back tomorrow and i can get on with fitting it all back together..weather permitting..Cheers..Ziga

Rain stoped play today so hopefuly will have it sorted in the next few days. Hopefuly by weekend as she is going to the last show of the year in Bishop Stortford on Sunday!

The big pipe goes to a valve in the side of the air fiter box and is electricaly controled, don't ask me how or why no idea!
Ref fans I said heater fans, i.e. how many do you have on your heater, but as this was concerning the water pipe in the other pic, it's now not relevant!

Hi Andy..I initially used the original bolts but had to replace two of them with slightly longer ones that were M6 i think with washers and nuts as they stripped the thread from the new housing..The thermostat had been fitted with a rubber seal sitting on the front side of the thermostat by the ford guy and thats why i had such a job stopping it from leaking and over tightening as it wouldnt seal properly...When i replaced the thermostat it came with a rubber seal that sits around the edge of the thermostat which sat better in the seat of the housing and didnt need to be as tight...Cheers..Ziga
