Ever been caught out with the weather?
Discussion
Yo all! Back off me hols. Two weeks in Northumberland (Seahouses) and Cumbria (Cockermouth). What great roads, if a little rough. Anyway went for a spin in the 450 today and my word i have to say after 2 weeks with the clan and a boot full of gear in the rs she felt rapid!
Everything was great until i turned into the village on the way home and it began to pXss it down big time!( roof down of course) I had to park up outside the house to straighten up one of the garage doors ( i left them open in anticipation of inclement weather). It was enough for the interior to get a slight drink.
Quick rub down in the garage and everything is fine but i got wondering......................
How badly have any of you been caught out whilst out in the wedge roof down?

Ive had the water running in off the screen on to my lap. We have been thar wet you could ring us out and do a quick spin dry bit the interia hasnt taken been afected by it. Just lelft it with the roof off in the garage to dry naturaly not before a quick wipe down first.
In light rain i find if you can keep moving on over say 40 and you have the back bit up you can say fairly dry untill you use the wiper and soak the pasanger
but i use rainx to help with the water so i dont use the wiper if i can help it.
If im on the the major roads i look for a bridge to stop under...
I dont mind getting a little wet...

Got absolutely drenched coming over the a66 after the dalemain show started to panic when it started but couldn't pull over and the traffic slowed to a crawl. Then it turned torrential and everyone was laughing including me. After a few rounfs of applause off the tin tops I removed my coat and drove home in the pis**ng down rain. I have to admit I quite enjoyed it, and probably made a few peoples day. Took a while to dry the old girl out mind.

I was on the M25 once upon a time - it started out dry and was having some fun then I ended up in a contra-flow situation when it bucketed it down. I couldn't pull over for about 2 miles and was becoming a bit self conscious. Anyway, what took the sting out of it was a coach load of girls looking down at me during the monsoon in the next lane. They were must have felt sorry for me as they began flashing various bits of their bodies......f
king brilliant. The roof is not something I worry about anymore lol....

Then there was the run back from the first TVRCC Peak Forest meet the other year... Down Winnats pass with the snow falling and only a couple of mm tread on the rear tyres.

Yeh, went down to TVR meet in Penrith on Sun [about a month ago] down motorway hood down, sun out [lovely] then it came down cats and dogs, windscreen wipers on full bung just had to grim and bare it. But to see the kids in the cars that past us there faces were a picture looking at us.
Maybe because we gave them the bird as they passed, your not aloud to pass a Tiv.lol.
