When i bought the WEDGE, there had been a stereo in place, large amp in the rear, two speakers behind the seats (sides) and two tweeters in the door ashtrays.
But the stereo fascia (removable) was missing.

Iv'e only gone and stuck a new one in (the WEDGE) !!!

Halfrauds £89 (reduced from £179....sweet) and the lecky aerial works too !!!
Looks great going up and down (80's chic).

And it don't half sound good !! (the WEDGE and the stereo)

So when i fancy driving to an inferior sound-track to 8 cylinders.....i can.
Never had an amp before !!! They're good.
My fravourite track (whilst driving my WEDGE) is The live version of BAD, by U2 (it's on the "wide awake in America" EP).

The song is about Heroin Addiction sadly....but an absolute driving belter. Give it a try wedgers !!

Do you guys have music on board....or is a no no for you??

You'd want one in a chimp for sure (to drown out the noise of the tyres droning on the tarmac !!!)

Well Gav

As it happens,,,, yes.

Got a cheeky little pioneer cd player up front which is powering a nice subtle class 'A' alpine 3522s amp for the front speakers with a dennon amp for the rear and wired in sub (the sub that currently resides in the Jag)

not saying that it always makes it out for the crafty blats, but it does pump a few 'little red corvette' tunes when i actually hit the on button.

Just need to get it back on the road!

My head unit is under the bonnet.

The speakers are just below the rear bumper! biggrin

I bought my Wedge 19 months ago and the mini disc player it came with is still in it.

And I still don't have any mini discs!

The two in the ashtray door cards are the difference Campbell, and no cutting involved as they are a perfect fit...and surface mount.
Best sound system i ever had for sure so the previous owner thought it out well.!!

Yes, indeed Kiila does have a stereo - a Pioneer head unit (Radio/CD) and some old speakers at the rear sides. So far we've travelled ~8000 miles together, so it's nice to hear the news every once in a while biggrin. I do have plans to upgrade to more suitable units with radio and MP3 player (either USB-stick or SD card), which I plan to integrate with the wooden dash and I do have a spare pair of Boston Acoustics RC-speakersets and a spare Boston Acoustics Pro 10.5LF subwoofer that I might think of installing, But it's not a priority plan (since the need for music in a wedge is really low, I do have some better places to push my money currently), so it'll take a while before you'll get any photos wink.

i put a fairly serious system in the chimp - but then what self-respecting hairdresser wouldn't want some D.I.S.C.O on the move ?

JL XD400/4 Amp (400W / 4x75)
JL C3-650 Frt speakers
JL C2-600 Rear

Alpine CDA-117Ri Head unit
Alpine CHA-5634 6CD changer

Stinger cabling

It's been tested to 143mph, roof down and I can still hear it !
