wooden dash bit

on the wedge 350i how is the wooden dash bit held onto the switches and the radio area , as i am replacing the carpets and have it all stripped out but the switch cover wooden veneer bit does not seem fixed to anything , does it just sit there loose and held in by the boxy leather covered thing.

Yes. When refitting, use self-adhesive Velcro (R) - Streaky
