Well I've had the old girl over 4 years now and I've started to get 'itchy feet'.

Been down to the local Mazda dealer tonight and had a good look around an RX8. I'm really taken with it. Loads of toys and looks fantastic. It has something thats hard to define. It looked superb in metallic blue with black leather.

No worrying about breakdowns. 3 years guarantee etc. ...... mmmm... decisions, decisions....

Yes, the RX8 has a lot going for it but your 400 is probably one of the only cars that is guaranteed to put a bigger smile on your face.

The RX8 does look like a nice car, but you sell your wedge and I guarantee that you will kick yourself in the butt a few months later when you are sitting on the M25 next to six other RX8's....

The RX8 will cost a fortune in fuel and isn't that good a drive (take a Nissan 350z out for comparison)

Cannot believe you are considering changing such an awesome looking car for an RX8 ?! Am sure parking the two next to each other & listening to the start up noises might make you re-consider...

Changed my mind - missus is always saying we could do with a second car. The RX-8 is brilliant - I'll take that unreliable old Brit sportscar off your hands for a bargain price.....

Aye. If I could sell Shadowfax so Vera could get upgraded I'd be happy too

Nick,
Don't do it.
I can guarantee after a very short while you will regret it.
You will soon get bored with the electronic gizmo's and has the reliability of your wedge been that bad ?

I have found that the trouble with all the German and Jap cars is that as capable as they are they are only enjoyable when being driven at 10/10ths whereas a wedge can be fun just burbling along under the speed limit with the top down . Sure they are practical and reliable but if that's what you want buy a cheap used Toyota as a runaround.

OK. I've changed my mind because :

1) I went out for a blast last night. Not many cars are able to actually make you laugh out loud.
2) Mentioned the RX8 to the missus. So basically thats that idea out of the window. She said no......
