i thought Bach's Fugue was in F minor.
IIRC, Bach wrote Fugues in C major, C minor, D major, D minor, E minor, F major, F minor, G minor and A minor. Of course, BWV 999 starts in C minor and ends in G major.
Are you perchance referring to BWV534b, where the Prelude is thought by some to be either the work of Johann Christian Kittel or of Bach's eldest son Wilhelm Friedemann?

Perchance he was thinking of the Fugue that follows Toccata? ![]()
* Toccata and Fugue in D minor "Dorian" (BWV538) - which I wanted at the wedding, but the organist declined
; * Toccata and Fugue in D minor (BWV565); and
* Toccata and Fugue in E (BWV566).
Also a Toccata, Adagio and Fugue in C (BWV564)

Ah yes, the one I meant was T & F in D Minor (as ripped-off by 'Sky'). The recording I have (on the Cirrus label) was performed by John Scott on the St. Paul's Cathedral organ. How the hell they got London to be so quiet remains a mystery. I like to blast it out when the kids are knocking on doors on Halloween....
