This week I finally got around to fitting my new veneers. My lad Ryan got them off someone at this years fest, I think they won them in the raffle but didn't have the 400 style dash. Sorry I can't remember who it was.
I had to move the heater controls, fan switch, mirror adjuster and light switch because mine was a mirrir image of the veneer. (suppose I could've put the veneer on back to front
) Not a 5 minute job as the metal plate that the switches are fitted to had to come out for new slots and holes cut in to it.
I also had to re route the hot/cold valve in the engine bay to allow the heater control to move over. Worth it though, I thought my original veneers were quite good untill I started to take them off, they mostly fell to bits

I`m looking into doing the wedge dash reveneer if anyone is interested, i`m getting some costs together now, done in american black walnut burr as original, stained and finished in top quality 2 pak automotive clear.....
I think the way i`ll have to do it is wait until I have about ten sets to do, send them to me all together to save on postage get them done and send back to one address then distribute from there.....
I can do the three dash componants 350 or 400se the door strips in real veneer and the gear knob and handbrake, see pic

sorry to hijack your thread but I keep meaning to do this and never get round to it......
I`ll post the costings soon, stick your name down if you are interested, if i get ten or more i think we`ll be able to do it for a good price....
Cheers
Adam
