Hi all, i am the new owner of E60 CTU, its a390se. It is at present at RT in sheffield having a fair bit of work done, i.e outriggers, bushes, brakes, loads more to get its M.O.T.
As its in dock i would like to do a few upgrades, the brakes and a larger set of rims, to name but a few. Could anyone inform me of a A.P racing brake set up ,discs and calipers, for the front. The car has standard OZ rims at present(will be for sale when i get a new set)what is the largest rim size i can go to and what type look good. Many thanks Nige.

The weels from a merc will fit, ( Dave, barrington will confirm)

But to be honest, I would stick with the original OZ wheels to be honest, they so suit the car IMO.

Most modern wheels either don't suit the angular styling of the wedge or are too 'open-spoked' so you see the whole rear suspension through the wheels, usually complete with flaking paint and rusty bits.
Ultimately the choice (and taste) are yours but there's probably a good reason the OZs fetch as much as they do, they're one of the few styles that most people agree suit the cars.

Nige,

You can go to 9 x 18 front and 10 x 18 rear but I now have narrower fuel tanks so everything fits nicely under the stock arches.

Rimstock wheels in Brum can offer you any PCD & offset you want on el-cheapo cast wheels.
