Hi Peeps..Well picked up the wedge from Dan taylor TVR earlier and must say that it does feel a whole lot better..No wobbling when i go over a bump at 70+ and it feels a lot tighter..The handling is noticeably different..He spent 10 hours on it and it was a bit of a learning curve for him as he hasnt done an early wedge for years..He only charged for 7 hours so the bill wasnt as heavy as it could of been..I will be taking it back at some point for him to re-feed all my petrol lines and fit a swirlpot,Accumulator and pre-pump filter..On the way home i was passed by a dark blue chimp who gave a friendly wave..Cheers..Ziga

Hi. Zig. I am glad you got all the bushes sorted and that you a very pleased with the result. Just out of intrest can you tell me what colour the bushes are they fitted on the rear bottom H frame?. The reason why I ask is because I bought a set this week to do just the one side as the other side was replaced just before I bought the car and the ones I've been sent are red and they are the poly type. Though I don't think the colour matters because the guy who is going to fit them told me he has seen them in blue, black and various other colours.

The colours usually vary with the Shore hardness rating of the material, but it may also be an indicator of ride quality: red signifies that your gums will bleed, black and blue are the colours your arse will be after a good thrash and yellow is what you use if you're too chicken for the other types biggrin

Hi Tony..My suspension bushes were ok, When i asked Dan taylor if poly were any better he said only if you take the car on track days but the normal stock bushes are pretty resilient, The ones on there are 20+ years old and still holding up..They are also cheaper by about £10 each..Ziga

So let me get this right-

if:-
red = bleeding gums
black and blue = a better arse
yellow = chicken

then, Silver must mean empty vessels make more noise! Right?

Zig. I thought you had the bushes replaced and that's why I was asking what colour was fitted. My fitter knows his stuff and when he looked at the ones they sent me he said they were fine so hopefuly all will be well.

Hi Zig
It's good to see you making some real progress on the wedge, get her out on the road now and put some miles on her.

Looking good there Ziga looking much better....
Hope the girls you have licking those envelopes lick arnt having to work over time to fill up the old wallet.
Some times there is jobs that you just have to pay some one to do the work for you as there is only so much you can do on the side of the road, still you have come so far with your car and should be proud with your self.
Im sure Mr Tank or some of the others you have gone too can help with with the front spoiler.
Did the garage manage to change the engine mount!!!

confused As I've never seen silver suspension bushes I don't understand the question.
