Hi

Well after much discussion with EC, I have at last agreed a deal with them ref BBWF 2012.

Considering that wanted at the start to hike up the prices and not allow any room reservations the deal is not bad!

First the date is Friday 29th June and the Fest on Saturday the 30th.

The basic room rate has been agreed for both nights at £60 for a single room and £70 for a double room including breakfast! (Only a £5 per night increase over the last two years.)

They are going to start by reserved 25 rooms for the Friday and Saturday night and a further 20 rooms for the Saturday night only! (These are nearly the same numbers of rooms as we had this year!)
These reserverd rooms will be held till the 18th of May, any rooms not sold by that date will be then released for general bookings. They have agreed that if we make more bookings than the allocation amount by the 18th they will be at the agreed rate!

Anybody trying to book after that date will have to pay at the currant rate being charged at that time (£84 per night) if rooms are available!

We will have the use of a function room and a percentage of the car park will be reserved for the event (They are also trying to make certain it's cordon off.)
They will also have some special deals for drinks at the bar! (First being water is Free! biggrinsmile)

So in all I think a good deal, and it's up to us to get our booking's in by the 18th of May.

I will post up booking details hopefully some time next week!

Andy

Mark

I thought that would please you Mark!

But seriously (I know you find it hard to be) to get the best of the deal or in fact to get it to work, "wedgers" have to book by the 18th May as EC are filling there bookings up quickly for next year and after the 18th there may not be many rooms left!

I take it we can just book a room with a credit card as usual
but they won't take any money until the day (as last year).

You can also cancel at no cost as long as at least 24 hours before I think

Do we need a booking code Andy?

Cheers and well done organising again

Hi Trickie

Yes we do need to use a booking code/ref which I am awaiting conformation and start date. As I said in my post once I have these I will post it up!

Ref booking with a credit card, that is the same and they will not take any money till you leave.

Ref if you have to cancel, that is also the same, but if it's after the 18th of May as the rooms and rates are at a premium. I would ask anybody who has to cancel then, to post it up. So there room and rate if possible could be taken by somebody who has not yet booked!

Hi

I have just posted up the booking details (Hopefuly will be made a sticky)

The contract has been signed.

There are couple of things in it for your ref!

They have put in the contract the bar promotions.

Bottles of beer

Buckets of beer bottled or otherwise/soft drinks and for the cocktail set a Novelity cocktail (with a TVR themed name)

The 3rd and 4th car parks will be coned off to the public for TVR's to be displayed on!

The use of the "Bronte room" for the Saturday night! With us providing the food (Hog roast etc) and entertainment!

Well I hope that covers it all!

Andy
