Well folks, I'm kinda sad to say that my Wedgey days are nearing their end.

I've never liked to stick with one kind of car for too long and I'd had that feeling again for a while that it was time for me to try something else.

So I've gone for something very different for now, which does mean the 350I will be for sale soon.

Anyway, here's the new Rooodmobile;

I've always liked them and this is the first car I've ever owned that's less than 14 years old, and despite my previous dislike for cars of a modern, heavy and gadgety kind I'm loving it so far!

I still love the Wedges and TVRs in general, so I'll still be browsing this section regularly.
All the best,
Martin.

Well martin its sad news on one hand but you gotta follow your heart and its definitely a nice motor..cool..Maybe if you can convince a neighbour across the road that they dont need their garage then the wedge could be a working project..Sort and fit the 3.9 and i might be in a better position to remove it from your possession a bit later..yes..I will even come over and help..Or make tea..May your miles be smiles..Ziga

Martin.
That is a lovely choice of car and I love them too. I am sure it's a fun car to drive, it's reliable, fast and pricey to buy. No doubt about it, it is a posh car.
About eighteen months ago I did a similar thing. With the Mrs nagging me I went out and bought a BMW 645CI V8 convertible. She convinced me that the Wedge days were over and that it will no longer be needed and I sold the Wedge. After all, now I had a new posing machine. For a while the BMW was fine. It was fast, newish, good looking, reliable, so what more can a man want. I was wrong. Within a few months I got bored. Although the BMW is a V8 there is no thundering noise. Hardly anyone notices it on the road and no one whom I didn't know has ever come up and spoken to me about the BMW. It just did't stand out. I had the itch again and laid the rules down for the Mrs. I wanted another Wedge, so I went out and got one. We still have the BMW but most of the time it's sitting in the garage gathering dust. Where as I look forward to the week end and can,t wait to take the Wedge out for a blast. Take it from a man whose had the experience. You'll regret selling the Wedge, and even if you go out and replace it with another Wedge it won't be the same. It's like drinking a cup of tea. The second cup is never like the first.
Tony.

Thanks guys!

I know I'll miss the Wedge noise (although the V6 is a bit fruity when it's opened up a bit), and the open top on a sunny day, I guess I'll just have to wait and see about the rest of it!

I've never gone back to a model of car yet though, I do like a bit of variety!

Haha! Yeah, like I said, I'll still be checking in on the Wedges forum just as I did before. It's a really good little community here.

It's not that I'm not interested in them anymore, it's just that I like all sorts of different cars and want to try as many of them that interest me as I can, so you'll still be hearing from me, and I will still help anyone out if/when I can, of course.
