seat belts

Iknow this has been discussed before, but can anyone confirm what car the seat belts come from.

This is where I got mine, they are in melborne australia so maybe as a last resort but they are very helpful. postage to uk should only be about 12 quid.

Seat belts seam pretty universal. I got info for mine here:

I used some from an old Mini, same reel, same end fittings, went straight in. Some people say the Mini ones are too long (so the reels jam up) but I had no issues. Now it may be that the top point on the FHC was higher than that on the DHC, I can't recall how it looked, maybe that accounts for any difference (if there is any) in length.

Is the stalk for the mini the right length ? My 400 has securon 500's fitted but the buckle ends up nearly in the middle of the bloody seat.

I can't recall whether I used the stalks as well, the belts had frayed and failed MOT so I think I just swapped the reels.

I put 500/30's on my FHC. The clip is fine, that's what the 30 refers to it's the length of the buckle bit.

I suppose it depends how far back you have the seat !
