Hi,
That was me !!!
My 390 se (which I have owned for about 2 weeks !!!. You may have seen my other TVR 350i, mica red about as I live in Purfleet) was being MOT'd but unfortunately it failed miserably :-(
Mainly electrical problems and brake problems but the really bad news is that the chassis has snapped :-(
I'm not sure what I'm going to do now although my mechanic does say it can be welded ?
But as you say it looks really nice.
Do you know of a local TVR specialist that could give me a quote on a lot of works ???
Where do you live ?
Regards
Ian

I would shop around before going to any TVR people as they tend to be over priced/rip off merchants IMO in relation to what's being fixed - which is essentially a very basically constructed car. I know a mobile welder who will weld anything he can get his mig into provided you tell him precisely what needs doing. A garage will hit you with their respective labour charge plus VAT for the same work - I know he will be cheaper.
The electrics are quite easy to fix provided they are not related to the injection system. I've had everything not working and have managed to find away round them even improving on what the factory did originally.
Neverthess, depending on where the chassis is broken I would avoid moving the car uneccessarily to which a mobile welder would be the best option IMO.
