If you mean the expansion tank they are a ford item..Mine is the same as a ford capri 2.8i as is the washer bottle..Some cars had a washer bottle that was heated via the cooling res that heated up the washer water and was metal instead of plastic..Any pics?..Ziga

I'm pretty sure mine is a Granada 2 (the square one like the Cortina). It's definitely Ford as it has the logo. Has one small (~ 6mm) one larger (~12mm) outlet at top, and one (`12mm) at bottom, and is a pressurised one with rad cap. Might be generic to Cortina/Capri/Granada ? Not Sure.

For an alternate idea , older BLMC, especially Triumph models, often had a nice brass/copper one ....

Mine has a squarish washer bottle which is aftermarket, with a separate motor held on with self tappers. It's not a Cortina one at least.

I bought this and fitted it as my overflow. http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID006828

The washer bottle with a pump are 10 a penny on zbay or you can use the above unless you are going for the concours look and want what the factory fitted in the first place..

It's a generic washer bottle, probably off a Fiesta or Transit van or some such... made by some company ending in 'lex'.

The plastic expansion tank overflow bottle is the same as the TR7 windscreen washer bottle on my wedge (1988 SEAC 450). I got a good secondhand replacement from TR7 specialists S and S preparations.

Hi Dave,

On the SEAC the overflow bottle on the expansion tank is the same type of bottle as the washer reservoir - and the washer reservoir is the same as the 350i (the 350 doesn't have an overflow). It's 110mm wide, 175mm long and 115mm high with a 28mm diameter hole in the top. There's no markings on it at all.

Cheers,

Martin

Yes that's the same as my SEAC and they are both the same as originally fitted to the TR7.

Blimey RedWedge that's a set up I haven't seen before. Your wiper motor's where my washer bottle is and you have the bonnet catch in the centre where my car has the heater box (plus you have twin washer jets). My expansion tank overflow is underneath the expansion tank.

Why's the wiper motor there, is there something else under the dashboard where it would normally go? Air con maybe?

Yes it came with the aircon option when new. You can just see the disconnected pipe fittings at top of the photo.
