Hi,
I need a rebuild kit or the donor idenity for a US spec 1985 280i, clutch slave cylinder. With all due respect this is a pretty big holiday weekend, and I would like to get back on the road.
Thanks, Rob in Connecticut USA

Rob,
I have the engine out of my 83, 280i and you are welcome to borrow my cylinder, if it will fit. I am in Woodbury, Connecticut.

Allen,

That is very generous, I have your phone number from Yahoo. I put out an all points bulletin for this. I am very intrigued by your screen name and am interested in discussing your wedge. I live up in limerock and always have at least one pass for the races if you are interested. I reline chimneys for a living and am often down there.

302 - we want to see pictures when you are done.. are you going to fit harder front springs to cope with the extra weight (150~200lbs.. I guess).

I had hoped to get into the reason for my "handle" a little latter on. This was my first attempt at this web site. Soooo....i am in the middle of the convertion. I had an engine (2.8) that was modifided with a radical cam and bigger valves but the same two port heads and FI. The result moved the power range into an area that the engine was unable to reach. Sounded great, but was unable to backup it's bark. I've documented every step including the weight of EVERYTHING and I think the results are very interesting. Should I post a NEW TOPIC message (I have NO idea how to send attachments via this site) or I can e-mail any interested group outside of this forum ?

302 - a natural place for this conversion might be on :

www.tvrwedgepages.co.uk/

Email Mike with the details..

I forgot the V6 weights a lot - so you probably only
have a 100lbs weight gain ... you can post pictures here though - see formatting codes !

Follow-up... Ordered a TR7 slave cylinder from Victoria British LTD (800.255.0088) 49.95 USD plus shipping, rebuild kit is 9.95 USD. almost cost as much to get it overnight as the part itself. Procrastination is always expensive!
