Hello my friends,

Can someone who has the stock setup on his/het 350i battery wise please take a picture or two. I mean how it's secured and all.

Mine is held in place with a wooden block and a rubber strap, not very nice to look at and the left side becomes a puddle of water due to the wooden block being there to hold the battery in place.

So i need to find out what the proper way of having it secured is!

Thanks and lots of love! smile

Not sure this helps but here is a photo of mine. It is held in place by gravity.

I thought it was only a 280 feature!!..Mine is held in by a couple of wedges of styrofoam..I was thinking about cold welding..(JB weld) a lipped plate in there with velcro straps to secure the battery..scratchchin..I think a trip to the local fabricators is in order monday.

you need something to hold them in place as my old 350i had a battery split were it slid backward and forward and spilt acid all over the engine bay .on pistolars 400 this split the fibreglass

I am splitting my wedge and re-bodying it so the battery will be secured in the new one. If you want any bits off mine check out the Parts Hoard thred

Zig,

If you have produced a new Ziggy design of battery secure/tray, please do put up a pic, so your adoring public can copy or take the piss as seems to happen on here from time to time.

Thanks mate, Shane biglaugh
