Hi Peeps..went out for a blast this morning..driving..(Roof down of course)..And delilah seems to be getting better and better!!..Starting to pull more and bonnet lift..I noticed when i had a run down a motorway yesterday how much quicker it seems..2nd gear..60mph..3rd..85mph..4th..110mph.."I mean 70mph"!!..Cough cough..There is no pinking..Mid - high range feels really good..Although i would prefer low - mid..Also had the metering head swapped over as the last one was leaking due to additives perishing the sealing compound.."Delilah your a horny slut and i love you"!!..Just gotta sort out the rattly exhaust flange...hehe.."Flange"..Ziga

Zig, maybe you should now change 'Why Why Why Delilah' to 'My My My Delilah' seeing that she is behaving so well and you are in love with her. 'I can't get you out of my mind darling, love me tonight' should be the next line.
Well done Zig. We all love our Wedges.

I reckon the old 4 speeder is better than the 5 for the 280.... It's just right for fast highway overtaking in 3rd.

I Know you meant 110 KPH !!

in UK I got mine to 125mph on the M6 up by lake district, with the top still down. It was amazingly still in the cockpit.

I can admit that as I don't live there any more..

I never did get the chance to compare with a 350....

Cold air.... I made a little aluminium 'shield' to make sure that no air from rad gets sucked into
engine. The placement of the 'K' inlet on my series 1 280 does suck in hot air by default.

Or perhaps an extra hose bit got lost before I bought it ?

Thats right..Mine used to pull hot air straight from the rad as there was no pipe fitment..I managed to warm up a plumbing fitting and shape it round in an "S" and connect a K&N in the nosecone..But now i have modified the air box and done away with the original ford air filter box..I will later on fit a refrigerant bottle and a cold feed valve to it and connect it up to operate on full throttle..
First i did this: Then this: ..The sensor plate and metering unit sit on top and the opening at the front goes to the K&N in the nosecone..Ziga
