Where does this bullet plastic connector go before i take off my entire hood to get a decent view...

My poor wedgie still isn't running, i had spark for like a few seconds then my ignition fuse said poof and after putting a new one in nothing...

Cant find my multimeter either i've been looking for days, time to shell out for a new one i guess!

Any of you guys got one of those magnetic pickup replacements in the distributor instead of the points type? And more importantly what does this connector do.

Well it's brown, so it's a 12v feed for something... give it a wipe with isopropyl or similar, see if you can determine a tracer colour along it (best in daylight), there are standard charts that should tell you, or a scan through a Haynes manual for the Rangey might flag it up.

Short-circuit condenser across the points might blow fuses, otherwise a chafed wire or short-circuit coil.

Most later engines have a different distributor with the inductive pickup and one of two electronic ignition systems.
