What Do You Use Your Wedge For And Why?

There must be many Wedge owners out there who have had memorable moments in their Wedge. It may have been a time very significant in their lives like perhaps meeting their first girlfriend or even proposing marriage to the wife. We never forget a car in which we have had pleasant times especially in a car like the Wedge. It would be interesting to hear stories from owners past and present of the effect a Wedge has had on their lives or indeed what satisfaction the Wedge brings them today. I know there are some that still use the Wedge on a daily basis, though I can’t imagine there are many. For most it’s a weekend toy, a track day car or maybe something more? I for example love to spend time washing and polishing my Wedge on a sunny day, and once it is gleaming, tell the Mrs that that I need to take it for a safety test run, while she finishes the ironing. Then put the top down and take it for a drive down perhaps somewhere like Wood Green High Street with ‘Mustang Sally’ blaring out of both speakers, usually at cruising speed. This I find very satisfying and therapeutic. For those of you who have never tried it before, I do strongly recommend it. Any busy high street or shopping precinct will do. Try it at least once and you’ll understand what I mean. This also demonstrates to many Turkish and Greek, Mercedes and BMW owners in our area that a TVR Wedge may be cheaper but attracts more attention. The number of heads the Wedge turns when I do this, with people pointing, and presumably saying, ‘that guy looks cool’ is just unbelievable.
Tell us what you use your Wedge for and why?

Ahem...This particular Greek has just shelled out on a new Jaguar XF and no longer does Mercedes. As for driving down Wood Green High Street - I wouldn't grace such a Third World piece of Socialist inspired real estate with the presence of my Wedge as the place is now occupied by the pouplations of Eastern Europe, Algiers and Somalia - it would confuse them!!! However, let me know when you intend to let lose with Mustang Sally in N22 so I can tell my wife to take a picture - she's a CCTV operator for a certain Dine for 2 outlet...

However, if you want pose factor 1 - Enfield High Street on a warm Saturday afternoon takes some beating which happens to be my neck of the woods....the road is narrow with plenty of admirers on both sides - the shop windows reflects one's wedge to a very fine degree too!!!

OK, New Zealand isn't quite like UK cities....

So for me blasting down the highway (at the legal limit of course), but "Mustang Sally?" No, it has to be something like Genesis or Queen. Try "Invisible Touch", "We will rock you","Radio Gaga" whilst you're
overtaking the small Jap cars.

But my other half's comment was "Huh, we simply DRIVE it", which has a sort of down to earth truth to it...

Another one from my other half, reading this over my shoulder...

She said :"why don't you put down 'scaring the sh*t out of drivers who get in your way ?'"

which made me smile... even with the humble 2.8 it's still quick enough, and loud enough, to do that...
