SEAC and Sprint
Discussion
Ok, at the risk of opening old wounds! I have posted on the gassing station of TVRCC a request to "hold the centre-pages" of the August edition.
It will be exactly 10 years since the edition which featured 10 SEAC's centre-fold. I for one would like to see it bettered.
So then TVRCC members, it is our magazine, if you agree with my sentiments
let em know

TVR cc has a gassing station .. never knew that ..
Good idea - picture of 14 seac's outside the old part of the hotel - with the factory racer in the middle ... has to be done !
I meant the General Discussion Forum...Freudian slip?
Anyway cheers Rev it has to be done!
IMHO if the TVRCC overlooks this then it can only be construed as sour grapes.(and nobody wants that).
It is only acheivable by member power so come on everybody post on the TVRCC site and tell em
Or let your regional officers know.
Have just had some very encouraging responses from the TVRCC forum www.tvr-car-club.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=290&PN=1
have suggested a centre page consisting of a main photo of SEAC's (ok i am biased but it is for historical reasons) surrounded by a montage of Wedges.
Any pro photographers coming?

I'm bringing me 5meg pixel digital jobbie .. really need someone with a wide angle lens..on a good SLR !
I'll bring a 24mm - should get 'em all in without making the SEAC's whale tail look like a shark's dorsal fin- Streaky
Top man .. don't forget the camera

Yes - very nice idea, and I understand the sentiments in recreating a picture from 10 years or so ago of a group of SEACs, but us SEAC owners (OK mine is the odd one out!) should not forget there are many other Wedge owners. Maybe on top of the SEAC pic we could get the mag to feature a group of Wedges showing the progression of the model from the earliest FHC to the last 420/430 SE?

How about a line up in chronological order (based on chassis numbers ??) If we provide chassis numbers in advance it shoudn't be too difficult a job to line them up on the day.
Nice idea. Maybe this should be posted into the sticky wedge meet thread so everyone sees it.

The idea is to better the 10 year old photo by having the SEAC's as the centre photo with other models around the outside (chronological/chassis/type whatever) bearing in mind the new format of Sprint is now A3 for the centre pages this should be plenty big enough for all.

I'm as big a fan of the SEAC as anyone else, but as others have tried to point out, this Fest is about all Wedges not just SEACS.
Be careful you don't offend everyone else, although I'm sure it's not intentional, you're coming close IMHO!
Ok no problem, i'm all for an easy life, i will leave this for others to sort
:As many have already said , this Fest is for all wedges .
The logistics of organising car parking to include chronological /chassis # is quite frankly daunting . It had been in our mind to try to get a mass aerial/ high level picture to encompass all the cars , and in addition :
The car park should allow a model split , eg all Taz's , all 350's etc , but not for any other reason than it would look good !
I believe it would be nice to get a pic of one of each model ( eg Taz prototype ,350,390,400 etc) in front of the old building .
With so many SEACs in one place for the first time , it would be up to the SEAC owners to organise their own pic in front of the building .
Please don't think I'm trying to take over , these are suggestions for everyone to comment , after all we want to keep the informality of it all .
Karen and I are willing to sort out the car parking , and on a plus point , Karen is now back in harness so the admin will improve dramatically !!!!!!!!!!!

Given time, willingness and enough Optimax (
), we can get a group photograph with the cars in any combination of the orders below:
1) By model;
2) By chassis number;
3) By colour;
4) By anything else.
I'm happy to invest the film (I have about 7 X 36 exposures available) and the time beforehand and on the day.
I suggest that people send me an e-mail (through my profile) with the model, year and chassis number of your car and I'll put together a shooting plan.
I've posted this separately as www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=109416&f=12&h=0 - which please read.

I definately think that there should be a group photo of all the wedges together if at all possible. That would be a moment in time that I and probably everybody else for that matter - would remember for a long time!
By all means if somebody could organise a group photo of all the SEAC's together then I think that would be great as well - and a pretty awesome site too IMHO.... However this should not be done at the expensive of others and we should be able to organise different group shots to everybody's liking.
Please note that the above comments are all IMHO and are not intended to offend anybody. If I have offended anbody - please accept my appoligies.
