Hi does anyone know?
First the boot wont open by pressing the switch within the drivers door.
Second windows have stopped working.
I have changed all the fuses and still no joy!!
Is there anything else i am missing re the boot and windows?
Really need to get into the boot as the centre part of the roof is in there. MOT coming up and i can see a cold drive to the testing station!!!
Any suggestions please?

Cheers

It's worth noting the boot release only works with the ignition on! Took ages for that to 'click'!

Also, unless the gas struts in the boot are brand new, the boot simply won't open of its own accord. It needs a helping hand!

if there's an emergency boot release of sorts i'd love to know it too. my electric boot opener doesn't always seem to work, especially when the roof piece is in it and it starts to rain!

Personally i prefer to run with tired boot struts. The boot catch can be very dodgy on these and if it fails/becomes loose as mine has previously you could find yourself driving along with an open boot with good struts.

At least with tired ones the boot remains shut.

Yes got email, hows best to send it?
Ignition was on when tried. Must be a fuse for both that and the windows though i have checked them all
If i was out the wrong side of bed i mayhave broke the boot by now

Not all only work with the ignition on Bob
Mine works all the time which I am happier not having to find my keys and turn the ign on etc

Also my boot doesn't lift of it's own accord
especially after I fitted the rear spoiler (to make the car look better!!!!
- waits for multiple replies from the guys who prefer a "naked backside!!!!)

Hey Trickie, that's interesting that some are wired permanently live - it's how I though it 'should' be, and after getting the multi-meter out and scratching my head, I tried some ignition and VOILA! TVR strikes again!

I've been tempted to fit a rear spoiler, but at this stage it's a low priority, especially as the body work needs a little attention in other areas!
