Another lovely bit of wedge weather today!!
Discussion
Hi peeps..As it was a nice day i thought i would take a drive out to hertfordshire to return a fuel metering unit that was faulty..It was actually cheaper than paying the postage!!..The guy that runs it is a very nice chap..He gave me a tour of the workshop and i must say its the cleanest and tidiest workshop ive ever been in..He also gave me a few connectors and where to get as mine have all started to crack and fall off..I was told by someone that you cant get them anymore??..The only thing that spoilt it was the shat nav diverting me off the motorway and sending me through the main drags..
STOP....START...STOP..START...
..
..Cheers..Ziga

A little pic before i set off....

Try Vehicle Wiring Products for your connectors.
It was indeed a glorious day, shame I spent the first half of it underground and the second half enjoying the sunshine on England's roads in my van... not too bad a run up from the south coast actually; getting away at 1230 for a change, instead of 1700, probably helped there.

That's it, rub it in fellas, you know some of us don't have a working TVR at the mo !!!
Actually got a call from my mechanic about the 390 SE, he's making good progress (welding now done) so fingers crossed wont be too long now
Which reminds me, has anyone got a drivers side rear shock absorber ("he said a "shock over" ?) and a passenger side rear brake caliper that they could sell me ???

He probably means 'coil over' shock absorber.

Why do you need a caliper? Any mechanic worthy of the name can rebuild one of those in their sleep. If he's snapped the bleed nipple, just drill it out carefully and fit a new one:

... might be worth a quick email to 1fingerbandit (Shaun), he's stripped more wedges than most people have driven, he may have a spare for sensible £££.
The first time I saw you on the M25 near the Galeria in Hatfield when I was coming back from a pick up in my van. You were on the other side and as we were each doing about seventy I only just got a glimpse of you. The second time was later on in the day, around 3pm, I was walking near Southgate station and this time I managed to see the driver briefly and thought to myself surely that can't be Zig, the driver looks far too handsome. What a small world. I only just live just down the road from where I saw you the second time. All the best.

Never got above freezing here in Sunny (or rather s
te) Bradford
and had to use the Tin top to get to the Monthly Meet on Sunday
and leave the Wedge Sorned and tucked up in the garage.
Would definitely have made the engine run better tho
Cheers

A very cold delilah...
Hi Peeps...Sorry to rub it in for those of you who are unable to use their wedge but yet another fine day..It is a bit chilly at 60mph and i could do with some winter leather fur lined driving gloves..Delilah loves the cold air..Hardly any issues with the starter motor which was a bonus but i will need to sort it...Snow has been predicted the weekend but i really hope it dont!!...Cheers..Ziga
